Do you suggest picking up a car at the airport in Pisa or in town--we plan to drive to Monterosso, spend time in Tuscany and then fly to Milan.
Shirley, I agree with Ed - some clarification of your question would be helpful. Be sure that you're aware of the usual "caveats" regarding driving in Italy. If you need further information, post another note. As Ed pointed out, flying from Tuscany to Milan is ludicrous. You can easily get to all the places you're visiting by train. Happy travels!
This is really confusing. Your question may have been answered in a similar thread. But, the drive from Monterosso to Milan is about three hours. Because of the highways, it's the same time to drive from Pisa to Milan. Driving from Monterosso to Pisa is an hour and a half. The flight is bound to be less than an hour. Figuring minimal time to get to and from both airports, being at the aiport prior to departure, etc, you're looking at something like another three hours, making it, notionally, four total. Why fly when driving will be quicker, cost less, and you already have your paws on a car?
Is there a relationship between this question and drop charge question where you said you were driving to Milan? Total confused between the two questions.
