Can you suggest a large & long hanging toiletry travel carrier

During my travels I saw somebody hook their toiletry travel carrier to the back of the bathroom door, and many many extra compartments folded down, with plastic covering the carrier so you could see every item ... it was longer than any other carriers I've ever seen. Do you have any suggestions of a good, extra-long, many-compartment carrier? Happy Trails to You and thank you.

RS and LL Bean do not have the long, roll-down model that you are talking about, but they are both really good products. I have the Bean model.

I haven't been in the market for one of these in a long time, but I believe packinglite.net has lots and lots of products to choose from including some toiletry organizers that roll down as you describe. It's a great website where you can view products by many different manufacturers in one spot--they carry RS organizers for example.

Hey, Miriam, we're neighbors. Visit California Luggage on 4th street-- he has good products, including RS luggage. It's wonderful store and the owner really knows his stuff.

Miriam,

You might have a look at the Toiletries kits at www.magellans.com/store/Toiletries___Toiletry_Kits___Toiletry_Kits?Args= as one of the models might fit your criteria. If you're close to Santa Barbara, you could stop by and have a look at these products in the store.

You could also check travelstore.ricksteves.com/catalog/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog&parent_id=150 for other models.

Hope this helps.

Happy travels!

The LL Bean kit unfolds and hangs down about two feet. When it is folded and zipped, it squashes down nicely. I like mine well enough to have bought three others as gifts for relatives.

LL Bean has several different sizes including an large one. You might try a travel store, luggage store (Outlet Mall) or The Container Store in your area.

I got a decent one at Target a few years ago. It has one large zippered compartment, a smaller detachable one and five or six sections for bottles and stuff. It also has a zipper or two on the outside, and comes with a hook. I think itw as about $20, and it comfortably fits everything I need (and I tend to take a lot!)

I'm so glad that you asked, Miriam! I desperately need to replace my 10 year old Old Navy one that is falling apart. Now I may be able to find one with all the options they've suggested above! I like the LL Bean one, but I've been very cheap. Maybe I should just take the plunge...

Hi Fellow Travelers,

These are great ideas, this is the first time I have put a post on the Wall. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Miriam,

Luggage.com has a wide variety (sizes, colors, price-range) of toiletry carriers.

For years I used a Ricardo carry-on bag that had a toiletry hanger which fit right inside the bag; you just undo the snaps to take it. I switched over to a rolling carry-on but I sure do miss my hanging toiletry kit.
