We’ll be traveling from Grindelwald to Paris, and have the Swiss Half fare cards.
How should we go about buying tickets? There’s a couple of transfers and then the train to Paris is out of Basel.
Is Basel considered part of the Swiss Rail? Should I buy the other 2 in the Swiss train app, and the direct one from Basel to Paris Separate?

If you buy them all through SBB, you just put in that you have a Half Fare Card and they will price out the discount accordingly.

You do not need multiple bookings because multiple trains are involved.
Just book Grindelwald - Paris on www.sbb.ch, and indicate you have the Half Fare Travel Card. You will get two tickets, one for Grindelwald to Basel, and another one for Basel to Paris. The latter one will come with an included seat reservation.
You have to buy these on the website though, or at the station. You cannot buy them in the App.
