My wife and I have bought Brit Rail passes for trip around England July-Aug. I left a month early and have been bopping around Europe on my own. Unfortunately I had a serious accident in Andorra on Tuesday. I'm still in the hospital but I'll fly home tomw. The England trip is off. I can't read the fine print on the passes right now so I'll ask. I bought the passes thru Rick Steves. They've not been used at all. Can I get my money back?
I'm very sorry to read of your accident and cancellation of the rest of your trip. The RS Rail Pass info page says: Make sure you order the right rail pass for your trip. Changes, exchanges, or refunds for unused rail passes are not always possible, and are subject to a service charge of 15% or more. Validated or partly used rail passes are not refundable. Enquire at the ETBD Rail Pass desk at [email protected] or (425) 771-8303 ext. 214. Good luck!
BritRail passes are in general refundable - a minimum of 15% cancellation charge through the office of purchase providing it is within 6 months of issue.
