c pap machines on european flights

Having sleep apnea, I use a C Pap machine. In the US it does not count as a carry on and 'flies' with me for free. Is this true when I fly AirFrance from Paris and KLM out of Rome?

You should check with the individual airlines' websites to be sure, but generally they are not counted as part of your carryon.

Ditto Nancy! This June we are flying on an airline in the EU that has no info, whatsoever, about this, and have run into this same problem before in the EU. It is really easy to call and ask them to point out their policy on their web site. But I don't trust any of them, and always pack my CPAP in my one carry-on. It is easy to check the rest of my luggage...I don't care about it like I do my CPAP. PS make sure that you bring a few plug adaptors (EU to US), an extension cord, and a plug that converts one socket into two or three outlets.
