I found a website that will allow my wife and I to purchase and print Vienna Weekly Tickets before leaving home for our vacation. Has anyone else done this? Is there ny advantage to doing this versus waiting purchasing in person? Cost online is 15€ per ticket. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Have not bought online from them before, but this is a great deal. Usual cost for the 8 day ticket is around 33 Euro. It looks like you need to purchase in advance, I don't know if they sell these in the machines. Just remember that the ticket is good from Monday to Monday, so if you arrive on a Friday or other day of the week, you only have the days till the next Monday.

We arrive this Tuesday early afternoon and leave the following Sunday at noon. We had a choice of purchasing a 72 hour ticket and then two one day passes. From what you are saying, the weekly online ticket might be my best bet. Thanks for your reply!

Even if you end up with the 72hr and some extra tickets you still are getting a great deal for the excellent public transit system that Vienna has. Enjoy your visit.
