I am planning on buying tickets for a family of 5 from Brussels to Paris in June 2011, and I am wondering if anyone has used Thalys, DBahn, or any other rail website to purchase tickets from the USA? Instead of going through the middle man and using RailEurope?
Thanks!
No problems purchasing from the USA. Simply purchase your tickets here: http://www.thalys.com The earlier you book the cheaper it will be, you can print your tickets out at home.
Ditto. (choose 'English' under France if it asks...) Is this your only train trip you have planned in Europe? If not, what are your other trips?
Actually since the journey begins is Brussels it's best to select "Belgium", and then English as the language.
Thanks everyone.
Our train travel will include BRU-Paris-PAris to BRU, fly to Rome-Florence-CT-PISA-Rome= All by train once in Italy. I have heard most people can't buy Italy tickets from Trentalia, and wait till they get to Italy. Is this what you would suggest? I have previously trained to 7 countries with my husband on a Eurorail pass, but this trip is just 3 countries in 2 weeks and will kids- a little different!
