Buying Night Train tix ahead of time

Hi, I'm taking a trip and i will be taking night train from prague to budapest. I will be there in early may and figure I can save time by doing this. I've heard I should wait but now that I have done more research I see that it may be good to book ahead of time to get a good compartment. The CZ train site is pretty confusing and rail europe is expensive. Any tips?

Your direct night train originates in Berlin. You can book Prague-Budapest by phoning the German Rail Travel Service office in Great Britain. Dial 011 (US international access code) + 44 (country code for Great Britain) + 8718 80 80 66.
