Buyback car lease in Germany?

My sister and brother-in-law and I will be in Germany, Austria and Czech Republic for 21 days in September. I have been looking at car rentals and they are very expensive as we need something to fit 3 adults and 3 suitcases. I have tried to research the buyback lease option, but am wondering how hard that is to do in Germany. I don't see where I would be able to do it at the Frankfurt airport. Can anyone give me advice on this?

we used them before, great service, new car, all insurance included, unlimited mileage, road assistance, you can pick up at Frankfurt airport for an extra fee.

We did the buyback lease through Autoeurope. We picked it up in Frankfurt and dropped it off in Paris. For pick up and/or drop off outside of France you will have to pay a surcharge. The amount depends on where you are. You can go to their website to see what the charges are.

If you do decide to do the lease you will need to reserve it ASAP. If I remember correctly you needed a couple of months lead time to take care of all the arrangements.

We dropped a planned flight connection from A'dam to Frankfurt and picked up our leased car in A'dam. It must have been a better deal to do it that way - but I can't remember exactly how much better. Our first destination was relatives near Cologne so it worked out well for us.

Both the Renault and the Peugeot lease/buyback programs offer pickup in Frankfurt, but neither allows dropoff in the Czech Republic.

Because of a quirk in French tax law, only French auto companies offer lease/buyback programs. You can arrange pickup and drop off in some - but not all - major cities outside France. Sometimes a fairly hefty fee is involved.

You can get the details on the Renault or Peugeot websites or autoeurope.com

Lease/buyback is a very good deal if you need a car for more than 17 days and if your itinerary fits with the available locations.

Thanks everyone. Renault has been extremely helpful. We can pick up and drop off in Frankfurt. They quoted rates on 2 different cars and we still have time. They were very helpful!
