It's hit or miss but I found some AA flights Atl to London for under $2,000. If you are willing to pay you might go look around
Wow! I just looked and saw nothing good.
When I looked again last evening things were very slim and it looks like it's all gone today. I just read a bunch of posts on flyertalk and they started talking about the deals at 11 am and by about 10 last night posters were reporting things were gone.
I considered trading my PE ticket for a cheap round trip out of a Greenville (which is a short drive) and during the 10 minutes around 6 PM while I played around with the idea the fare went "poof" and was gone. SO... I am sticking with my good Premium Economy deal from last week :)
I couldn't sleep one night so was skipping around the internet and found a post on TripAdvisor about this business class air fare war. I had been planning a trip to Europe in May (now postponed till next May), I decided to check and see if there was anything that looked good to me. I was shocked! Two open jaw business class tickets (IAH-TXL-FCO-IAH) on BA were about $4918! I couldn't believe it, thought I made a mistake and tried it again several times--all with the same result. We had been planning to fly PE and try to upgrade using Avios and cash on the long haul portions, but this sale was about the same as two PE tickets. I had heard about sales like these but never have seen one--till now. I was virtually kicking myself for having to wait till next year. Hated giving up such a good deal. I went back to bed after that. When I searched again in the morning, the offer was gone and the tickets cost $4000 more---about the usuaI price. I hope this repeats in time for next year's trip (fat chance, eh?)
You never can tell. I got one for May 2016 on BA for about this price. I bought it in September 2015. (I remember because I had just accepted a new job and had no idea if I could really get the vacation time. It all worked out fine )
