You beat me to it! I also saw this on The Points Guy. I am trying to help a friend fly St. Louis to Europe and I couldn't find a good flight from here. BUT, if she's willing to fly out of Chicago (ORD) she could find business class on Delta just over $1600. I tried to use my AARP login and couldn't find anything for her that way.

And for the record, she has friends and family in Chicago so it's not a big deal for her to go up there a day early to get that deal. Especially when you can use Southwest to Midway reasonably priced.

I seriously enjoy finding these deals. I need to become a travel agent!! :)

We took advantage of the BA/AARP sale for our recent trip to England, and it was so worth it, especially when the plane was delayed for almost an hour before takeoff! On both ends of the trip! But the legroom, comfortable seats, real food, glass glasses, were, we decided, worth a couple of hundred dollars over sardine or anchovy class. (If you have it, of course.) We didn't care much for the "pods" we were originally seated in on our flight out of DFW, but the plane was deemed not air-worthy, so they moved us to another plane where DH and I could actually see and talk to each other.

There also seems to be some good economy deals out there - around $800 for St Louis to France, Germany, Italy!
