Does anyone know if there is a bus from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Verona? Or must I take the bus from the airport to Venice (Mestre or Piazzale Roma) and then take the train from there?
The Marco Polo airport website shows no direct bus service to Verona. You can take a bus to either Mestre or Padova and catch a train from there. Buses stop at the Mestre train station, but you would need to walk from the Padova bus station to the train station (see Padova map in Rick's guidebook for distance). Buses to Mestre run fairly frequently, while buses to Padova run hourly. I've taken both the local bus and express bus from the airport to Venice. The less expensive local bus makes multiple stops and takes longer, but both work equally well.
Thank you ! I've been searching the internet and haven't been able to find any info on buses directly to Verona.
It's good to hear from someone else to confirm that I haven't missed anything.
