Our family of 4 is planning on arriving in Milan on 8 June and trying to grab a bus up to Interlaken. Any words of wisdom for websites that can fill us in on schedules and costs? We're also planning on the return trip back to Milan and onto Venice, so we'll need transportation for that leg as well. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated. We're on a tight budget. Thanks
Julie,
Not sure about the bus, but there is a very good train connection there. Do you think bus would be less expensive? You can get some info re the buses on www.swisspost.ch. There is a phone number there you can call for information. But I would check the train prices, too.
I suspect that any cost savings on the bus would not be worth it. The train trip is about 4 hours and is one of the great train routes in Europe. There are 2 long tunnels and on the Swiss side between Kandersteg and Spiez there is a tunnel that makes a 360 spiral turn.
