Bus travel from Cadiz to Granada, Spain

Does anyone know if there is a bus station in Cadiz where I can buy bus tickets to travel to Granada. I have been trying to book tickets through the Alsas website, but I can't get any of my credit cards to go through. I hate to leave for Spain without my bus reservations made, but at this point I am ready to give up. If there is no bus station in Cadiz to purchase tickets, where else in Spain could they be purchased?

you don't need to have reservations for bus - people in the us are way too used to the idea of reservations! just buy it in the morning when you're leaving at the window.

Thanks for your reply. I'm wondering, however, if I would have a problem because I thought that I would buy the bus tickets in Cadiz, but apparently further research reveals that Cadiz is not listed as having a bus station where you can buy tickets. Is anyone out there familiar with the bus station situation in Cadiz?

Try this: http://www.tgcomes.es/horarios_5.htm We used this bus company to travel from Rota to Sevilla but I think our bus originated in Cadiz. We walked up to the ticket window about 10 minutes before the bus was scheduled to leave and purchased our tickets. We traveled on a weekday and there were lots of empty seats on the bus. Unless you're trying to travel during the feria you probably won't have any problem. This Andalucia website I found by Googling "bus station in Cadiz". It tells where the bus station is located: http://www.andalucia.com/travel/bus/cadiz.htm

Terri, I really don't think that you need to purchase a ticket/reservation in advance for those buses. If you are really nervous about it you could go to the bus station as soon as you arrive in Cadiz to buy your ticket so you can enjoy your time in Cadiz. Is there some event occurring in Granada, Cadiz, or in between at the time of your travel that makes you think that lots of people will be traveling at that time? What day of the week do you intend to take that bus? Are you limited to leaving Cadiz at a particular time with no flexibility to take an earlier or later bus?

Thanks for your advice. I did try TC omes - it doesn't like American credit cards either!

The Cadiz bus station is just across the parking lot from the train station. We use the bus to Arcos de la Frontera and back. Just bought the ticket about ten minutes prior to departure - maybe half full. On the return trip the station at Arcos was closed so we just paid the driver. The bus system is pretty cheap and loose.
