My husband and I are travelling to Portugal mid September until 10th of October 2016. We have researched car leases and rentals and it is too expensive. I can't seem to get any definite answers on passes. Can someone please give me some tips and how much they are and if they are Worth it. We are travelling Porto, Algarve and leaving Lisbon.

There is a good rail service Lisbon - Porto and Lisbon - Algarve.
It is not clear what journeys you want to take. It would appear Porto to somewhere on the Algarve and somewhere on the Algarve to Lisbon, i.e. two journeys. No pass will be of any saving for just two journeys, even if it exists. You could receive a discount on long or medium distance train journeys by buying in advance, check from two months out if your itinerary is fixed.
