What is the best way to get to Sorrento from the Napoli Centrale and how long is the trip? Thanks for any help.

Barbara, The best and easiest way (IMO) to travel from Napoli Centrale to Sorrento is to use the Circumvesuviana commuter train. When you arrive at Napoli Centrale, walk downstairs to the Garibaldi station and buy your tickets. You'll be travelling on the same line that goes past Pompeii, and the trip is about an hour. Sorrento is the last stop on that line. Have a look at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb7-_6zQ6Hg for a visual description. "Fast Forward" about the three minute mark for a description of that part of the journey. I'd suggest switching the sound "off" as the background music is annoying. Be sure to wear Money Belts and watch your luggage on the Circumvesuviana, as it has a bit of a "reputation". If you have a "generous budget" you could also hire a driver and car. Happy travels!
