Hello, my name is Milan from Serbia i posted recently question for transportation in Scandinavia and I have been given good answers, but that was part 1. Now part 2, from Denmark i will be going to Lithuania(Kaunas) by plane. From there are there any kind of transportation for Latvia(Riga) and for Poland(Warsaw)?
The Man in Seat 61 website gives full detaila of trains. But a frequent train to Vilnius then a daily train to Riga, and a daily train to Warsaw- that one has a cross platform change at the border.
The Riga train leaves too early for a connection from Kaunas.
Also plenty of buses run from Vilnius to both Riga and Warsaw.
The buses in the Baltic countries are excellent, comfortable, and inexpensive. Free coffee, tea and wifi. The rail system is not that good.
However the trains in Poland are excellent.
