I am flying into Florence Sat March 16 at 4:20. Need to catch bus (Sita has been recommneded) to Siena that afternoon (SITA bus was recommended), but I cannot find the Sita Firenze a Siena line schedule anywhere, even though I know it exists!!! Need to take bus back to Siena early morning Sat the 23rd. Have not had the best luck contacting Sita... Aiuto, per favore:)
It took me a while, but finally I found the official timetable from the Siena transit agency: Look at Table 131R/R (Rapid) starting on page 68 of the PDF file: http://www.trainspa.it/train04/extraurbano.pdf This is the legend of the symbols (Italian only):
http://www.trainspa.it/legenda.pdf Basically, since you are traveling on a Saturday you need to look for the "Feriale" symbol (two hammers forming a X). Feriale is working day, which is Mon-Sat. There are also some runs for Saturday only (SAB) The runs with a "A" symbol inside a circle, mean Mon-Fri. The Holy Cross sign is for Sundays and Holidays. Morning departures for sat. are: 6:45, 8:10, 9:10, 10:10, 11:10 etc.
Thank you so much! I didn't think to look at the town's site. :) Much appreciated.
In case you're wanting to know where to pick the bus up: Buses park across the street from the train station, to the right of McDonald's and around the block.
Thank you! I knew it was close to the train station but it is so nice to have the landmarks you mentioned!!! I am so grateful for the response:)
