bus to Baux de Provence, Gordes and Roussillon

I know a car is best but that is not possible so please don't make me feel worse by suggesting it. I hope it is not impossible to see Baux de Provence, Gordes and Rousillon by bus. We are thinking of staying at Avignon or Arles but will stay elsewhere if the connections to these places is better. We can take 3 separate days to see these 3 places if necessary. We are in no hurry, but feel we won't be in each place long enough if we were to take an organized tour. Any suggestions? Thank you.

It looks like we can get a bus connection to Gordes from Avignon through Coustellet or Cavaillon. I am wondering if we can get a taxi in Gordes to take us to Rousillon and then maybe a bus back from Rousillon? Are taxis available in Gordes? Does this seem workable?

Lin - I have Rick's 2009 Provence book and it says that there's a bus from Arles to Les Baux in July and August. Also a bus from Arles or Avignon to St Remy (not on Sunday), then take a taxi to Les Baux. Regarding the Luberon, there is a bus and a train from Avignon to Isle sur la Sorgue (large Sunday market). Also buses from Avignon to Lourmarin and Aix to Lourmarin (which has a wonderful Friday market). The sections on Gordes and Roussillon don't mention taxis or buses. He mentions Wine Safari minivan tours and there are other tour companies listed in the book or you can visit the TI in Arles or Avignon for more info. Some of these tour operators may let you plan your own time so you'd have as much time as you want in each place. So Gordes and Roussillon don't look promising by bus or taxi but maybe the TI where you stay will have more info. You might want to get the latest RS Provence book for more current info.

Thank you very much for those suggestions. We are planning to go in May.
