Bus Routes and Schedules for Tuscany and Umbria

I am having a really hard time trying to find information about bus routes and schedules for Tuscany, Umbria and The Marches. Is there anyone who has experience, and/or knowledge of this? I'm trying to put together my journey, but, its tough to figure out what I can see and where I can go without having any idea what its going to take to get there. I have been to a few of the bus companies websites, and they are either not in English, and cant be translated properly on their site, ot they dont give me any information. I have read over Rick Steves most current guidebooks for the region and even looked for other sources with no luck at all. Please someone help me!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks alot.

You might try and find someone who speaks Italian to look at the sites you found. Or possibly, if someone near you speaks it, you can pay for a call to the company site and have them talk.

I tried "Sita Toscana" on Yahoo and got links to the bus system but couldn't even get the website to open. If you can get to the bus company sites, it shouldn't be too hard to interpret schedules. Look for "orari" which should be timetables. And then do the best you can with the Italian names for your departure towns; i.e. Florence will be listed as Firenze.

I had the same experience. SITA is a major bus line in certain parts of Tuscany but I can't get the site to come up. Oops, I can get it to come up now but the selecting Engish (British Flag) isn't working. Here's the website. http://www.sitabus.it/wps/portal
