In order to make my railpass work best for me, I may supplement a rail day with a bus day in Spain. I have heard rumor that the best connection for a bus trip is from Sevilla to Granada.
Has anyone used the bus for this route? Anyone used the train? Which is faster/better/more reliable?

I find the bus more convenient....more runs/day and far less expensive....I think I paid 18 Euro for the trip on the bus. The bus takes about 15 minutes longer than the train.
I took the bus in the other direction on this route years ago. It was comfortable and convenient, much nicer than an intercity bus here in the states.
We were just in Seville over New Years and used the train to Granada. It was three hours on a regional train.
