What's the quickest way to get from Vienna to Zagreb by bus? Where do I get a bus schedule? I need to pick a car up in Zagreb by late afternoon on a Saturday....
Is there a reason you want to take a bus? I've driven and trained between these two and would prefer the train as the border crossing took us about 2 hours with only 3 cars in front of us. When the guards finally got to us the other cars (Austrians and Germans) were still there. They only took about 30 minutes to look at our passports. It may be better now (1994), but the train was a 5 minute stop and they just checked passports on the walk through. Croatia is on the way to being an EU country and should be friendlier, but I'd still choose crossing that border on the train.

Were you successful? I require the same information. Travelling to Croatia via Austria. I need to take a bus from Austria to Zagreb. Is there a bus that leaves Vienna Airport.
Please advise at [email protected]
Checking www.eurolines.at I found the following schedule: The bus leaves Mon thur Sat at 6pm from Vienna Südbahnhof's bus terminal. There are trains from the airport to that station. Arrival at Zagreb's bus terminal is 10:45pm. On Sundays the bus doesn't leave Vienna Südbahnhof until 11.59pm with a 4.25am arrival in Zagreb. Single fare is €29, roundtrip €47 per person 13 y/o and above.
Oh, and there's another line that also serves Vienna to Zagreb but with multiple stops, leaving Vienna Südbhanhof every Mon thru Sun at 5pm and arriving in Zagreb at 11.40pm.
