Is there a bus service from Venice to Ljubjana, Slovania?. What will be the recommended budget way to travel to Slovenia (and back) from Venice, if there is no bus service available?

John, there is a bus. It runs from Venezia-Mestre, Marco Polo Airport or Treviso airport to Ljubljana. Fare is 25Euro one-way. Here's a link to the bus website. http://www.drd.si/en/

the other option is to ferry from venice and then take domestic bus from LJU to the coast towns.
