I am thinking about taking the bus (or train?) from Siena to Greve In Chianti for a wine festival in September. It would probably be on Saturday the 11th. I was looking for a bus schedule but did not have any success finding a bus for that route. Help...
PS - I will have a car in Tuscany, but figured I shouldn't wine and drive.
If I'm not going to drink I won't bother going. There are plenty of other things to do in Tuscany. If it is too big a hassle we will revert back to our original ideas.
It's hard to go directly from Siena to Greve by bus. You would need to go to Castellina and catch the one bus per day that goes from there through Greve to Florence. Thank you so much Richard. I sounds like the wine festival will not work for us transportation-wise. If I had known about it early enough we might have chosen another place to stay. Oh well, there are plenty of hill towns to explore.
