We would like to travel from Sevilla (Spain) to Evora (Portugal) in one day by bus. I have seen other internet posts that talk about taking a bus from Sevilla to Faro (Portugal) and then from Faro to Evora. However, looking at a Spanish bus company's website, it appears that another (and maybe better) option is to take a bus from Sevilla to Merida (Spain) and then from Merida to Evora. I'm feeling uncertain about this because the website is only in Spanish and I haven't seen this bus route mentioned in any other travelers' internet posts on this subject. Has anyone ever taken the Sevilla-Merida-Evora bus route, or can anyone comment on the merits of this route vs. the Sevilla-Faro-Evora route? Thanks for any help!
Elaine,
Did you try the ALSA web page? They're the largest bus carrier in Spain (www.alsa.es) and their web page is in multiple languages. My daughter planned her route through southern Spain and Portugal last year with their route planner. I'm pretty sure you can buy your tickets through this web page as well. Espero que tenga un gran viaje!
Gracias!
