Anyone have any information on bus transportation from Milano airports to this area?
Thanks
What time does your flight arrive? According to this page on the Trenitalia site, EC 143, which stops in Genova on its way from Milan to Nice, is guaranteed to run during a strike. It leaves Milano Centrale at 11:10.
IC 659, which leaves Milano Centrale at 17:00 and stops in Genova on its way to Ventimiglia, also is guaranteed to run.
Just curious: You've asked for information on the Italian bus system, which we can provide--but I first wanted to ask if there is a reason why you're not asking for information on Italian trains to get Milano to Genova and beyond?
Trying to think of alternate plans to train as they have scheduled a strike on the day I will arrive. See my first post here today.
Don't worry about a train strike in Italy. Trenitalia has an agreement with the unions that requires many trains to keep on running. They don't shut the entire system down. Milan to Genoa is an important route so you will see trains operating on that run.
Larry, thanks. It just would be nice to know PRIOR to me leaving which is June 13. One thing about Italy, you can always count on one strike or another come the summer!!
I do see those connections. I am just wondering that since there will not be any trains from 9-5pm that those later trains will be just super full and maybe we won't even get on. Is that a possibility?
