Hi - We plan to take the train from London to Bodmin Parkway, Cornwall, in April and then catch the coach thru Wadebridge to Port Isaac. I can find the times online but not the fares. I emailed [email protected] but the email did not go thru. Anybody have an answer out there? Any help appreciated - just don't want a nasty surprise. Julia
I've telephoned the number on the website you provided (stick a www. at the beginning instead of the "enquiries@) and while I got through I wound up in a queue so will need to try again tomorrow. Their telephone number is +44(0)1637 871 871. They say they pride themselves on their low cost. Looks like they may cut the occasional corner too.
The day explorer (which gives you unlimited use of their services) gives an upper bound of £8.50, so it should be somewhat less than that.
I've just reached them by phone, and they answered on the second ring (at 1600 UK time). I did get what I wanted but she had to shuffle though lots of pages of paper so the answer took a while - no computers for them LOL. The answer is £6.50 one way per person. When I asked for the length of the journey she said that it depended on the connection in Wadebridge. Apparently the Bodmin Parkway to Wadebridge bit is every hour but the Wadebridge to Pt Isaac bit is infrequent. I'd check carefully on their website. I think she said the first bit was bus 555 and the second the 584 but you will need to check. I'm not surprised that your email didn't get to them. Good luck.
Thanks, Nigel and Marco. Nigel, I REALLY appreciate your going to all that trouble to get the info. Yes, those are the right bus numbers and I'll double check the timetables again. This forum gives me a warm feeling that there are good, helpful people out there in the world everywhere! Thanks so much. Julia
