We are planning a trip to Europe next summer and hope to travel by train from Vienna to Rijeka and then bus to Rovinj. It looks like the train and bus stations are pretty close together in Rijeka. Can anyone confirm that? Other suggestions are welcome.

The bus station in Rijeka is in the center of town, but the train station in 2006 was (and probably still is) on the edge of town. When we were looking into this, there were regular buses connecting the two. Or you could take a taxi. There was a good traveler's information office in Rijeka; you might see if you could find contact information for them. We ended up just taking the bus to Trieste (we were headed from Rijeka to Venice).
