What would you recommend, train to Vienna then onto Venice, or Budapest to Venice through Slovakia. Has anyone used a budget airline for this trip. Would appreciate your advice

I have also asked about Budapest to Venice......... We are going to try the night train from Budapest. I think it is about $138 PP 1st class. We have never done this before and thought it was worth a try.
