Does anyone have information on reliable road transportation from Budapest to Krakow via scenic Tatras without having to rent a car? The train seems to bypass to far west or east skipping much of beautiful Slovakia. Thanks.

I traveled that route from Krakow to Budapest and will guess that it may be impossible to do it by train based on what I saw. I had a car and enjoyed the scenic area around Tatras.
Do a google search for "train Budapest to Krakow" to be sure you dont miss any possibilities. Do the same for "bus".
It has been 10 years but I remember that it took about 12 hours to drive because of the narrow roads and mountains.
