Bruxelles Midi transfer

I've never been to Bruxelles Midi station. I'm changing trains from the Eurostar to an ICE train. The connection I'm being given allows a 17 minute transfer.

For those who have been to the station, is that enough time? (I'm going to have my ticket printed in advance.)

I must have been having a brain freese. I've been using that sight for trip planing but forgot about using it.

Thanks for the info. My other option is a 95 minute transfer and I don't want to spend that long at the train station.

Of course, if I do miss my train, my ticket is good on any other service that day so I might take my chances.

Frank, you didn't say what your final destination is. Belgium has a vast number of trains to the main and secondary cities, so if your destination is in Belgium, making the connection is, likely, unimportant. The one exception might be late at night or early in the morning.

Unless you are connecting to the last train at night, AND your first train is late, you should be fine. But you know that!

I'm heading off to Luxembourg. My connection is early afternoon so as I said before, if I miss the quick one, there will be another 90 minutes later. I'd just prefer to make the earlier train.

Sadly, as I'm getting older, I'm getting slower. And those mad dashes I used to make, to make a connection, are no longer mad nor dashes. More lilke a leisurely saunter.

Au contraire Frank II. You should miss the fast connect because there is a good selection of Belgium beers in a cafe on the lower level. How many different Trappist beers do you think you could sample in 90 minutes as an assignment for your blog?
