Brussels to Budapest, what's the best way?

We are flying to Brussels and need to get to Budapest. What's the best way, train, or plane? Are Brussels Airlines or Ryannair or Easyjet any good?

Charlie, Given the distance, travel by budget airline would be the quickest and easiest method, and probably the cheapest also. Regarding the airlines you mentioned..... > Brussels Airlines - I've never used them so can't comment. AFAIK, they're reliable so wouldn't hesitate to use them if necessary. > RyanAir - I have used them, but prefer to avoid them whenever possible. Be sure to check which airports they use in both Brussels and Budapest, as they MAY be some distance from the city centres. > EasyJet - I've flown with them a number of times, and have two more flights booked this year. They are my "preferred" budget airline for travel in Europe. When using any of the budget airlines, it's important to read the "Terms & Conditions" when booking, so that you have a clear idea of the prices, especially for luggage. Note that many airlines in Europe only allow ONE carry-on item (and they're usually quite strict about it). Happy travels!

Easyjet is fine but you can only check in 23 kg of luggage (you can pay for extra pieces but that won't change the maximum total of 23 kg). Ryanair's Brussels airport isn't Zaventem but Charleroi, about 50 miles South of Zaventem airport. Brussels Airline is a Star Alliance partner and they're perfectly fine to fly with.
