Does anyone know if there is an early train out of Brugges? My flight leaves at 7:10 a.m. out of Brussels.

The earliest train is at 4:10 am, arrives at the airport with 1 change at 5:56am. That's probably not going to be enough time to check-in, and go through immigration, and security. You can check schedules at the Belgian Rail site:

I'm actually only flying to Frankfurt that morning. Do you think that is still cutting it too close?
It's been a while since I flew city to city in Europe and couldn't remember.

It's a tough call, if you are able to print out your boarding pass the night before, and not checking in any baggage, it's possible. Check to see if the airline has any later flights. If they do, there is a good chance they can put you on a later flight if you miss the cut-off. But if you are using a discount airline, and you miss the deadline your tickets are worthless.
