Bruges to Zurich

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to do this. I'm flexible with times and duration of travel, I just want to get from Bruges to Zurich in a relatively cheap way. I''ll be in Bruges from June 18th to 20th and want to get to Zurich on the 21st. And I would have to figure out a place to sleep the night of the 20th.
The issue is that it costs too much to stay in Zurich the night of the 20th, and I could stay in Bruges instead that night but I wouldn't have much time left to spend in Zurich because I then leave for Interlaken shortly after. If anyone has any suggestions on a way to travel to Zurich cheaply that would be great.

I think the cheapest way to do this is to take the IC train to Amsterdam. Fare is 46 euros. Then take the direct City Nightline train from Amsterdam Centraal to Zurich. Non-redunable fare for a berth in a six-person couchette is 49 euros. Depart Centraal Station at 8:30pm, Arrive Zurich at 8:30am.
Book night train tickets at: http://www.chitynightline.ch. The cheapest airfare I could find from kayak.com was $250USD via British Airways. IMO Zurich doesn't have much tourist appeal and isn't worth the time. Instead I would go to Interlaken, and spend more time in the Alps. If you do this, hop off the night train at Basel instead of Zurich. There are direct trains from Basel to Interlaken every 30 minutes or so.
