Bruges to Paris by train

Hi
Will be in Bruges early March and last night tried to book trains from Bruges 9th March leaving 09:58 to Brussels and onto Paris arriving 12:35. I used the Thayls site, but I kept getting a much earlier train with no other options. Any help with what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated? Thanks

Thalys only has one direct train per day from Bruges to Paris at 6:25am. For later departures you have to take an regular inter-city train from from Bruges to Brussels-Midi, and from there the Thalys to Paris. Go back to the Thalys site and purchase a ticket from just Brussels to Paris. For Bruges to Brussels simply purchase your ticket at the station on the day of your journey. Thanks Michael. I thought that might be the solution, but just wasn't sure. We weren't planning on taking a direct train (probably) didn't know there was one, but have no need to get up so early, so will take your advice and do the Brussels - Paris booking and pick up the other on the day. Thanks again.
