Bruge to Mosel (Cochem, Bullay. Beilstein) via train

Can we get to these towns on the Mosel easily by train? We are leaving for Amsterdam on Friday. I am crazy over the train system. It is all so complicated to understand. We opted not to get a railpass, point to point instead, and take advantage of the weekend specials and regional specials.

We are going to Amsterdam to Haarlem, to Bruge, to the Mosel area, and then Baden-Baden, then up the Rhine area and back to Amsterdam.
Has anyone done this? HELP!!!

Best thing to do is hop on the German rail website at bahn.de right now (click English in the upper right), input all your routes and schedules, then print out, or at least save somewhere the resulting schedules. It has the most comprehensive listing of schedules, including connections.

Cochem and Bullay are on the main rail line up the Mosel from Koblenz. Beilstein is accessible by bus from Cochem.

You can use a €26 Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket from anywhere on the Mosel in Germany to Karlsruhe and a local ticket from there to Baden-Baden.

Up the Rhein from Baden-Baden would take you to Switzerland; you probably mean down the Rhein (towards the Amsterdam and the sea).

Caryl, using this website, click on "plan your trip" across the top. Then click on "Deutsche Bahn" On the left under Rick's picture. On the next screen, click on the Deutsche Bahn website highlighted in blue. On the following screen, input your trip info along with the date you think you will be travelling. You will get a listing of trains for that route, date and time. You can click on "later" for a list of more trains later in the day. Also click on "details for all" to show you all the stops this train will make. As the previous poster indicated, print off these schedules for the possible dates and times you might want to travel and take them with you on your trip so you can plan your trips. It is so helpful to have this info with you. These lists also show you what train # and how long the train is at a stop. When purchasing tickets you'll have this with you to show the teller which train you want--helps with language barrier. I hope this helps. Have fun making memories!

I think you will find your route would be something like Bruge to Brussels to Koln to Koblenz then to Cochem. We did the same route years ago, made a very enjoyable stop in Koln to see the Cathedral and then wander the nice downtown for a bite and a few flutes of Kolsch beer.
