I'm about to book for spring, 2026, and am doing my due diligence. For business class, it says I can change flights, but must pay any price difference. What I can't find is if the prices go down, do I receive flight credit, or money back on my BA visa? Is there a time limit to use any flight credit?
Usually when I post this type of question, someone quickly posts the link I need, and I feel foolish for missing it, but I can accept that.
I'm guessing all the fine print comes once the ticket is purchased.
Thanks for any help!
Pat, just googling it looks like BA does not offer any refund or travel credits after 24 hours of purchase. You would have to cancel and rebook the lower fare subject to any penalties.
There are similar posts on Reddit. The only mention of refund I have found on the BA site is Same day Price Promise guarantee.
During the booking process you will see the fare rules for changes and refunds. Good luck!
I believe the flight credits if the fare goes down or if you tweak dates and get a lower fare is only limited to the US airlines (United, American, Delta). Not sure if Jet Blue, Spirit, Southwest, Frontier, etc. have the same flexible policies.
I haven’t heard of any foreign airline that has such flexible policies but have only investigated Turkish and Air Canada and both of them actually have change fees and no mention of refunds or credits
Thanks for your efforts. It just occurred to me that I hadn't actually checked the BA policy in a few years, and that the airlines are not as generous as in the post-COVID years.
Happy travels!
