British Airways has confirmed it found bedbugs on one of its planes and has removed two from service for fumigation. It all started when a passenger complained of bed bug bites on two different BA flights. She even put up a website about it: http://www.ba-bites.com Her flights were from Bangalore to London and London to Los Angeles. The two planes taken out of service were the planes in which she flew. And one of them was the same plane BA said it found the infestation. Anyone going to do anything different now that these little critters have moved beyond the hotel room?
Aaaah I almost bought a BA ticket this morning! Glad I procrastinated.
It's strange that only one person complained about them. Someone on another board thinks she may have brought them on herself.
Frank, That is definitely one possible interpretation. It won't kkep me from flying BA. Bedbugs can show up anywhere these days. If anything, BA will be more vigilant after this publicity.
They moved beyond the hotel room a while agothey've been found in movie theaters and retail shops in NYC. Short of not leaving the house and not having guests, I'm not sure there's anything we can do to avoid them.
