I really like KLM, and have always had a good experience flying with them. I also like how I can transfer my Chase points, sometimes getting extra points during certain times of the year, over to Flying Blue.
Effectively KLM is able a service that BA practically can’t. BA could obviously run more domestic services into Heathrow but that would use up valuable runway slots that they can use for more profitable mid and long haul flights. Heathrow is effectively full and every small commuter flight uses up a space for a big plane to fly long haul. Amsterdam with it’s 5(?) runways has no such problem.
