Hello - we will be flying British Air out of Heathrow to Nice in early September. Our flight leaves about 8:00 am. How far ahead of time should we arrive at the airport? Other than flying to Europe and back to the U.S., this will be our first time flying "in Europe".

Two hours at least is the recommendation of LHR. This can actually be a busy time at the airport in terms of security clearance etc. Checkin online if you can the day before.

2 hours at a minimum to insure peace of mind. Heathrow is a huge European hub, think JFK, O'Hare and LAX combined.
