We will be traveling with an infant through England, France and Germany soon...she is a great sleeper at home in crib and in her port a crib at cabin...but I am somewhat reluctant to want to drag around the heavy port a crib at airports and the Eurostar...however, being sleep deprived with a baby who is up all night doesn't sound fun either. Any suggestions? I have seen some little sleepers that are mini-mini beds, but she is 6 months old and rolling now.
Are you staying in hotels? Did you ask the hotels if they have cribs? Our granddaughter was 10 months old last summer when we were in Italy and the hotels provided a portable crib and a pack 'n play with cute bedding.
We are staying with friends for all but 2 nights, and only one has a port a crib.
Friends passed onto us a device with two side rolls that keep the baby in place. It worked well when our daughter was 5 months old. Also, many hotels have cribs.
We've used a little fold up crib which works quite well. It folds into a quite small round (about 18 inches diameter by 3 inch thick) shape so it can go in the bottom of your suitcase.
