Booking using Trenitalia online for Paris-Milan train

Assuming one can get their credit card accepted on trenitalia online (using Verified by Visa), can the Artesia 7:42am Paris-Milan train be booked using ticketless tickets with a confirming email that can then be used (and will be accepted) to board the train in Paris? My concern is that several web sites indicate that trenitalia can only be used to book international trains online when that train originates travel in Italy.

The websites are correct. Instead of using trenitalia, why not book your ticket through the French national rail site, tgv-europe.com . If you keep telling it you live in Great Britain, you will be able to access the same price schedule, and will be able to pick up your tickets at any train station or SNCF boutique in France.

The direct 07:42 doesn't show up on sncf/tgv or on raileurope, only on trenitalia and deutschbahn. Could that be because it's Artesia?

The Artesia site lists agencies through whom you can buy tickets, but it's not possible to book tickets on the site itself.

The direct 07:42 train appears on voyages-sncf.com, tgv-europe.com, and raileurope.com through 30 June. From 1 July forward it does not appear. However, since it appears on trenitalia.com and bahn.de beyond 30 June, I suspect that the problem is that Trenitalia has just now released its new timetables which go into effect today and bahn.de has loaded them while the other sites haven't yet. Wait a day or two and see if the 07:42 train appears on the other sites. If it does, book at tgv-europe.com. To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence. Pick up your ticket at any SNCF station or boutique in France.

There should be no reason you can't purchase the ets thru TGV-Europe.com It appears it has the train listed until June 30th only....then no 7:42 as of July 1st. Perhaps they are late loading new schedules into the system....since the new schedule goes into efffect as of today.
