Booking train Vienna to Krakow

Hoping someone might be able to help out with some advice. I need an overnight train from Vienna to Krakow. I really like to have my tickets before I go so I don't have to worry about buying them there, but don't want to over pay to much.

Ok so here's the question, raileurope.com (which I know overcharges) is no longer giving any 2nd class fare quotes from now till May 20 which is the date I need for my overnight Vienna to Krakow. I tried a few weeks ago and tried my dates but in April because it was too soon and it said $79 for 2nd class, now I think I've tried every date from now till then and they only have first class.

So do you think it will be difficult for me to book the ticket when I get into Vienna on the 18, with only 2 days notice, and will I have any trouble buying the ticket? do they speak english at the train station? I only need a second class seat, I don't find I sleep any better in a couchette so I don't want to pay for one.

Thanks

You can check out the Austrian railways website at http://www.oebb.at/en. You can book tickets on line for their SparSchiene overnight fare to Krakow for 29 Euro. They allow bookings on the web 30 days in advance, or you can give their call center a call and book it that way.

Thanks so much for the info. I tried booking on the site but as soon as you select to book it turns to german I was wondering if you know if the call center speaks english?
