I am repeatedly getting 'credit card payment rejection' messages when I have entered the information correctly. I have specified the To and From locations along with the date, time, number of passengers, first class, and Country = Canada. The system shows us the correct itinerary which we ed and continued to enter credit card information(including card number, cardholder name, expiry date, and security number). Each time, we get the same 'credit card rejected' message. We have called our Credit Card financial institution and they have confirmed that they have no payment rejections from their side. Help
Karyn,, I have just gone thru this hell.. took me a week of trying, numerous emails to tgv( actually I used idTGV) phone calls to credit card company( several) using different cards from different banks, clearing cookies from my computer,, Finally got my damm tickets, lol ( Paris to Nice) To be fair, TGV does respond to emails, but it takes a few days each time.
Intially I was told they do not accept Canadian cards, then it was my bank blocked it( they did not) then they said they would make an exception and accept my card( which at this point was a TD Visa) . One thing,, after 3 attempts you have to wait a full 24 hrs before you try again. And clear cookies from your computer. Good luck. . off to do battle to get a Thalys ticket now.
When we went through this last summer we kept getting error messages because the cost of our tix exceeded the weekly amount allowed. At that time, we could only charge 150 euros per week. It is a TGV issue, not a credit card problem. When we broke our fares down ( it took two weeks to do this) we were O.K. Maybe this will help.
Well Patty in my case the total amount was 96 euros. Wondering though, were you using an Amex card or a Visa or Master Card?
