If you have used BudgetAir or Vayama to book flights to Europe, would you please share your experience. I found an incredibly cheap flight from Newark, NJ to Vienna for $500. Same flight on Priceline is close to $3,000. so I am very leery...the ol' "if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true." I have read mixed reviews, some very negative--almost bait and switch
Take it to the step before you cough up money and see what happens. It may only be pricing each leg individually or not have included taxes and fees. Also see what airline.
Thank you. I went ahead and booked directly with Delta. Got a good flight and seat assignments and felt much more confident after speaking directly with a representative. May not be the cheapest way to go; but certainly gives more peace of mind to this less experienced traveler. I appreciate your taking the time to reply.
More wonderful information. Thanks, Stevie. I shall remember the multiple booking sites when looking for bed and breakfasts as well...along with Rick's suggestions. Another thing a friend of mine, who retired from an airline, told me was to book early on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those days have the best discounts. I also read several places that the 6 to 8 week window prior to departure is a good one to use when making flight reservations. Thanks again for taking your time to add valuable information.
