So, I am looking at getting a sleeper train from Paris to Berlin, then Berlin to Prague and Prague to Munich. The prices that I am getting are MUCH cheaper to do P2P tickets, and when booking it gives the option of printing online and using when there with a credit card as your identifier. Has anyone done this and was there any hassle involved? Thanks!
I've read many reports of people doing this and everyone has been well pleased. To get the best fares, book ASAP (up to 90 days allowed).
I am assuming that your only sleeper train is Paris to Berlin, and that the other two are day trains. Last I checked, there was no sleeper train from Praque to Munich. Berlin to Prague is probably a Europa-Spezial Tschechien fare, a non-refundable, advance purchase ticket. I'm not sure what you are getting for Praque to Munich, but the fastest connections are all regional trains, which don't have reservations or advance purchase specials. You can make that trip for about €32 for a single or about €26 for two. That's purchasing a Bayern-Ticket while in Berllin for the Czech border to Munich and Czech Rail tickets in Praque for Prague to the Czech border.
BTW, last year I used online purchase Dauer-Spezial ticket for travel within Germany and had no problem.

Lee, yes the sleeper train was Paris to Berlin. I went ahead and booked it, looks like about $110 per person for the 3 of us in a triple sleeper, so not bad considering its hotel and travel really rolled into one.
As for Berlin to Prague, you suggest we just get that ticket when we arrive? Is there a special train? The rate's I was seeing also had about a 4.5 hour travel time to Prague and also about 3.5 hours to Munich from Prague. Is there faster train?
I am kind of concerned about the Prague to Munich being its Oktoberfest and wanting to book early, but what is your opinion on that? Rail is really something new to us. I had no problem booking our cheap flight from London to Dublin and from Cork to Paris, but trains is a little different for some reason.
Thanks again!
