Booking a flight to Europe (part 2): When is flight info available?

(continuing): Question 2: My brother said I should plan to make a reservation at 12:01 am 330 days in advance of the travel date to ensure that I get first dibs at the economy mileage flights (he recently paid 110,000 points to send his daughter to Italy for the summer when he felt he could have done this for 60,000 points if he had booked earlier). The United agent said that all the available flights do not appear on the web page or on their computer at 12:01 am but are loaded throughout the day. Does anyone know about when this loading is completed? I would like to be able to from a number of itinerary options focusing on flights that leave in the early afternoon rather than book the first plane that leaves that day which might be early in the morning. Thanks for your help.

Remember one thing: flights that book that far in advance may change their schedules later or even at the last minute. You may not even be notified (this has been discussed on this board recently). So, once you have your reservation, check on it with the airline right up to the last minute.....
