Booked Iberia LEVEL SFO-BCN

For a Back 2 Back Med and Trans Atlantic Cruise I was able to book the nonstop SFO-BCN flight for $280 with luggage, seats and when you request a Special Meal like the Kosher meal you don't pay extra so of course we requested it to get something decent. This is for October!

I then booked us on Southwest for $148 from TPA-SJC via TPA. The flight times are perfect and on LEVEL I was able to get seats in the smaller Y cabin in the front.

For my Mother I booked her to Paris to visit a friend and go her ticket for $350 via Thomas Cook/FlyBe and Vueling from CDG-BCN for $80+ Seats were about 45 Euros.

Overall I am pleased with the pleased with the price and timings. I like the 8:20 PM departure and 4:40 PM arrival into BCN.

I had never heard of LEVEL until your post. I even had to figure out that "LEVEL" is the name of an airline.

After your trip come back and tell us about them.

As you seemingly have already purchased the tickets, what is your plan if you hear negative reports?

Friends of mine recently used Level without any issues. LEVEL replaces OpenSkies with a vastly different concept. OpenSkies was pretty bad when I flew it to New York five years ago, with inedible food and broken seats in a 20-year-old cabin, but it seems that Level has new planes and little in common with that defunct airline.

My family has had two bad experiences with level.
In early June of this year I booked round trip San Francisco- Barcelona for January 2020.
Early August I received another flight confirmation which, luckily, I reviewed. My return flight had been cancelled and they had scheduled me for a return four days later than the original.
Customer Service was very difficult to reach. Finally, they refunded the return portion but not the outbound because “that flight is still going”. I had booked a round trip but they did not care that I had no return.
My credit card company refunded my money.

My sister and her family were not so lucky. In July, 2019 their Paris-Newark flight was cancelled as they were checking in at Paris airport. Level could not get them on another flight for ten days. They had to purchase four very expensive one-way flights on another airline.

Level only flies the San Francisco-Barcelona route 2 or 3 times a week. They have no backup planes and no ability to transfer your ticket to another carrier.

I wish you luck but TripAdvisor has many reviews of stories similar to mine.
