Booked British Isles Cruise for August

I work in Tourism Research and Development and love looking online for itineraries and found the 9 Night Carnival Pride British Isles cruise for August with the following ports leaving from Dover.
Portee Isle of Sky
Greencok(Glasgow Scotland)
Belfast
Liverpool
Dun Laoghaire(Dublin)
Cork(Cobh)

My Parents and I will be on the cruise with a Friend who works with me in Tourism.

We are flying to London on Virgin Atlantic from SFO a few days before to spend time in London and will then take the train to Dover to Paris and we don't have a plan so I booked a one way. Anyways as we get closer to September the fares will go down anyways.

I am so looking forward as my Father and I missed Dublin on our last cruise and we spent an overnight in Cobh. I know I will be back for a land tour but this itinerary with so much variety was too hard to pass up!

Looking forward to the good weather in August!

Do you have a question, Daniel?

By the way, what train combination are you using for Paris > Dover?

Yes I do have a question sorry. What is the best way to get from Dover-Paris the most efficient , quickest and for a relatively good price.

the easiest is a high speed Javelin train from Dover Priory station to London St Pancras International station, go downstairs and take the Eurostar to Paris.

Yes, it sounds counter-intuitive but trust me.

P&O, the only ferry company which still took foot passengers between Dover and Calais until last week, has now been banned from sailing currently by the UK government (as unsafe) since they video-call fired 800 staff and brought in Indian agency staff with some or no experience or skills so they could pay them £2.00 an hour which is an illegal pay rate, and the firing without consultation is also illegal - their head honcho has admitted so to Parliament. Will this be resolved by the time of your sailing in August? Would you be comfortable sailing with such a company who puts safety last? I wouldn't but I'm not you.

I'm sure this isn't news to you since you and your friend work in tourism but it may be to other readers.

As pedestrians your choices are limited. You could go along the South Coast to Portsmouth and get a Brittany Ferries to France or Spain but that is a lot of trouble, and you still have to get to Paris... or you could fly from a London airport ... or do as I suggest and take a simple fast train and then the Eurostar will deposit you 2 and a bit hours after you leave St Pancras International right at Gare du Nord in Paris... simples...

for a good price on the Eurostar book well in advance....
