I read about a 5-1/2 hour boat trip on the Danube from Budapest to Vienna.
Has anyone ever taken this trip. Or, does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get from Budapest to Vienna.

The quickest way is by train, 3 hrs. I haven't done the boat trip but know people who have: they said it's much slower than the train (6 hrs vs 3 hrs) and not particularly scenic but was kinda fun nevertheless.
